Shortlisted: Mail on Sunday exclusives that have been nominated for British Press Awards
LIVE and You, The Mail on Sunday’s unique his-and-hers magazines, have both been nominated in this year’s British Press Awards. The pair are on a shortlist of six in the Supplement of the Year category.
In a total of nine nominations, the paper’s Investigations Editor, Dennis Rice, has also been listed in the Reporter of the Year category, for his articles that led to BP boss Lord Browne’s downfall.
Diary Editor Katie Nicholl is shortlisted for Showbusiness, Simon Fluendy for Business and Finance, and Jonathan Oliver for Politics.
The paper’s exposé of Labour’s “Donorgate” scandal gets a separate nomination for Jonathan Oliver, for Scoop of the Year, as does Chief Reporter Ian Gallagher’s revelation of how the Richard And Judy show cheated viewers in its premium-rate phone-quiz scam.
The paper’s website is also nominated for Website of the Year. The winners will be announced at a gala in London’s Grosvenor House next month.
